| Directions to Merrill Ridge by way of Route 26 from Marietta area:
Take State Route 26 north out of Marietta toward Woodsfield. You will travel approximately 40 minutes (25 miles) on Route 26 through the little villages of Dart, Wingett Run, and Bloomfield. When you come to Bloomfield you will find the intersection of State Route 260. DO NOT turn right on 260 toward New Matamoras, BUT DO follow 260 and 26 combined for 2/10 of a mile and then turn left onto Route # 260. Continue on # 260 up a very long and steep hill. You will pass a religious institution called Swain City. About another mile you will pass a trailer on your left and an old farm house on your right with perhaps 10 - 20 old junk cars. # 260 will then take a sharp turn to the right and you will notice a gravel road straight ahead. Here is a sign for the Merrill Ridge Church on the right side of 260 at this point. Note: You will have traveled 2 1/10 miles from Route # 26 to this point. Now proceed on Merrill Ridge road (Monroe # 105)
1 6/10 mile until you come to a Y in the road and a sharp turn to the right. Take the left hand road past a green house and you will arrive at the building in less than 2 /10 of a mile. Note: There is a sign for the Merrill Ridge building a the Y.
We suggest allowing one hour travel time from Marietta to Merrill Ridge. Actual driving time is 45 to 50 minutes.
Directions to Merrill Ridge from Route # 800 south of Woodsfield: Take State Route 800 south from Woodsfield or #800 north from Fly, Ohio. The junction of Route # 26 is approximately 2 miles south of Woodsfield. At the intersection of 800 and 26 take State Route #26 south toward Marietta, Ohio. Travel 7.1 miles and you will come to the village of Graysville. Continue another 5.1 miles and you will see a sign on your left for "KNOWLTON COVERED BRIDGE". Some landmarks just before the covered bridge sign are a church and cemetery on your left and a dairy farm with a concrete silo. After passing "KNOWLTON COVERED BRIDGE" sign continue on # 26 another 5/10 of a mile to Monroe County Road # 105. There is a sign on both the left and right side of the road that says "Merrill Ridge Church of Christ". Turn to your right onto Monroe 105 and travel 2 4/10 mile until you come to a fork in the road with a sign pointing to your right for Merrill Ridge Church. Travel 2/10 of a mile to the church building. Note: It takes approximately 25 minutes to travel from the intersection of 26 and 800 to Merrill Ridge Church. Directions to Merrill Ridge by way of Route # 260 (Bloomfield): Take Route # 7 south from Fly, Ohio 4 3/10 miles to the People's Bank Building in New Matamoras. Turn right onto Route # 260. Route #260 will wind through town and you will eventually pass the Hadley Funeral Home. Continue on Route # 260 for 9 5/10 miles till you come to a stop sign at State Route # 26. Turn right and travel north on # 26 and # 260 combined for 2/10 of a mile. Route # 260 then turns left off # 26. Continue on # 260 up a very long and steep hill. You will pass a religious institution called Swain City.
